Congratulations Matt.

Matt and Erin Pritchard celebrate the arrival of their son.

Windsurfing legend Matt Pritchard has finally come through a tough period of injury in style, with the arrival of his new son Kaden James Pritchard. Born on the 17th August at 8 lbs, 3 oz, Kaden is already being tipped by the Pritchard Brothers as the next big name in the sport!

Matt Pritchard, the Three-times PWA World Champion, has had his share of bad luck recently, after he suffered a horrific accident when motorcross training at the beginning of the year. He is now walking well, and says that he will be fit for the water in just two months.

Whilst Matt was too busy getting used to fatherhood, younger brother Kevin was kind enough to get in touch to let us know how the new family were doing:

KP: “It is awesome to have a nephew, and Matt and Erin are definitely loving parenthood. It is amazing that something so good has happened for Matt – I think it is helping him forget about his injury and is giving him something to do.

Matt said that it was such a rush to have a kid, like dropping in on a huge wave – and it felt incredible to have such a rush after being out of action for so long.”

Kevin has been keeping the world up to date with his Twitter page (HERE) and check out the brothers’ online blog (HERE).

We wish the new family all the best, and look forward to Kaden taking the windsurfing world to the next level very soon.
