MAUI IN SLOW MOTION

Living life in the super slow mo lane with Klaas Voget

Klaas Voget (Fanatic / Simmer / MFC) has been searching the archives of the late and great André Paskowski and he certainly found some stunning footage, which he has compiled into a fantastic slow motion movie of Ho’okipa, Maui.

Voget has become synonymous with the world’s top ten since making his debut on the PWA Wave World Tour in the year 2000. So as you would expect the footage captured is absolutely brilliant. Relive riding the world class waves of Ho’okipa as the German takes you on board to give you a real sense of what it is like to sail there. Voget links together late, vertical hits proving exactly why he is one of the best in the world as well as landing sick one-handed aerials.

Of course when you are constantly trying to hit the critical section, super late there’s always going to be occasions when things don’t quite work out, and you can also relive the moments when Voget goes over the falls.

All that’s left for you to do is sit back, relax and enjoy - maybe daydream too? - six minutes of world class sailing in the windsurfing Mecca. To watch Voget ripping Ho’okipa to pieces click here.
