The Fourth Season

Kenneth Danielsen and Mads Bjorna star in the Fourth Season

Almost everyone loves being able to sail on turquoise blue waters in just a pair of board shorts, but there is also something special about braving the cold and facing the ocean at its most hostile. It represents a different kind of challenge and also to outsiders it may see like we are slightly crazy.

Kenneth Danielsen (Simmer), who finished 6th at this year’s KIA Cold Hawaii PWA World Cup, and Mads Bjorna (Fanatic / Simmer) are two sailors who know all about braving the elements with Cold Hawaii, Klitmøller, being their home playground.

The Fourth Season portraits a darker, colder and more harsh side of windsurfing. The raw northwest coast of Denmark gets battered by deep low pressures all winters, this produced strong westerly winds and massive swells. Top Danish windsurfers, Kenneth Danielsen and Mads Bjorna have Klitmoller has their home training grounds, during the years here they have grown immune to the cold, it doesn’t matter if the water is 5 C or 20 C. The cold is no reason to miss out on a good session.
