A week of firsts as Team Pryde dominate in Cold Hawaii

The fifth edition of the KIA Cold Hawaii PWA World Cup was held just a few weeks ago and after a patient week of waiting, the North Sea produced the goods again in the final hours of daylight to secure a fifth consecutive result, as Cold Hawaii continued to enhance its reputation as one of the windsurfing gems of Europe.

In the end Thomas Traversa (Tabou / GA Sails) was crowned the champion, becoming the first person to ever win more than one title in Cold Hawaii as TT produced a flawless display of sailing. However, Team Pryde dominated the prestigious podium as Britain’s, Robby Swift (JP / NeilPryde / Mystic / Maui Ultra Fins / SWOX) and Germany’s, Leon Jamaer (JP / NeilPryde) shared joint third, which was each of the duos first podium finishes on the PWA World Tour. Meanwhile, fellow teammate, Antoine Martin (JP / NeilPryde), secured his place in the top ten after finishing joint ninth.

Now, Team Pryde has released their wrap-up of another brilliant event in Cold Hawaii, edited by Robby Swift, which consistently proves to be one of the sailors favourites contests on the tour. Watch as the world’s best make the tricky onshore conditions look seamlessly easy with a combination of jumping and radical wave riding, as well as sailor interviews and lifestyle shoots.
