Brilliance in Bonaire

One of Bonaire’s finest talents - Amado Vrieswijk - pushing the freestyle boundaries yet again

Freestyle continues to progress at an alarming rate from the early sliding moves, to the first air moves, to the first power moves and now to the first double air-power moves. Some may have thought that freestyle was close to reaching its limits, but the current generation of incredibly talented contortionists keep pushing the boundaries and Bonaire’s Amado Vrieswijk (JP / Severne) is one of those sailors.

The nineteen year old finished last season as the PWA Youth Freestyle World Champion and has made a solid start to this year’s campaign after finishing fifth in France. Vrieswijk is one of the most exciting young talents on the tour and his latest video illustrates this perfectly as he flies through culos, konos and air skopus to name a few. However, like fellow Bonairean - Youp Schmit (99NoveNove / Avanti) - he also going one step further by pushing into insane double air culos with the short clip of him landing one available on the PWA Facebook page.
