An explosive day in the life of Amado Vrieswijk flying high over Aruba

Amado Vrieswijk (JP / Severne), who is one of the most explosive talents on the PWA Freestyle World Tour, is still only nineteen, but is already a regular in the world’s top five. Last year the Bonairean claimed his first place on the prestigious podium on his home waters, before backing it up with a fourth and fifth place finish in Fuerteventura and Sylt, respectively, and is continually closing the gap on those currently above him.

In 2013 Vrieswijk finished in eleventh place overall, but just one year later has propelled himself into fourth place overall. Now his sights will be firmly set on more top three finishes as well as fighting it out for the world title.

Based on Vrieswijk’s latest video he will be a contender for 2015 and it would seem to be only a matter of time before he is able to capture a maiden world title, particularly if he continues to progress at such a rapid rate. To film his latest video - after completing his move to JP from Starboard - Vrieswijk - took the short journey over to Aruba from Bonaire where Ethan Westera (Starboard / GA Sails) was on hand to both sail and film - and the action captured is explosive to say the least with Vrieswijk exploding through an impressive array of tricks from massive kabkuchis to paskos and ridiculous air bob into culos.
