BRILLIANT BONAIRE

Kiri Thode (Starboard / GA Sails) won the PWA Freestyle World Championship in 2013 and is still the King of Bonaire. Thode was in pole position for back-to-back world crowns coming into the final event of 2014, but an unexpected upset, which saw the Bonairean finish outside the top four in Sylt, resulted in him missing out on a second world title.

However, Thode, is still sailing at an incredible level and absolutely dominates on his home waters of Bonaire, as is shown in his latest video. Thode is renowned for his fluid style on the water and in his latest performance lands a stunning repertoire of manoeuvres - from the latest air moves such as kabikuchis to super technical stunts such as grubbies into ponches.

Thode will no doubt be hungrier than ever to reclaim his world title and the year ahead already looks mouthwateringly good when you consider the level of freestyle at the moment.
