Caro Weber back on track in Cape Town

Caro Weber (Patrik / Sailloft Hamburg) suffered a suspected broken back last summer, whilst competing at the PWA Tenerife World Cup, thankfully the diagnosis turned out to be more positive, but after such an injury scare it’s always good to see her back on the water. Her choice of destination… Cape Town for her winter training.

Cape Town is renowned in the windsurfing world - and is a travel hotspot for the world’s best sailors - thanks to it’s consistently strong winds and waves and it delivered again for Weber, allowing her to practise both her riding and jumping.

Here’s what Weber has to say about her latest video:

"Cape Town… Mother City… Coming back here for the third time was again a good choice. South Africa is one of the most amazing countries in the world. Poverty and wealth are living next door. Desert-like landscapes, green sub-tropical areas and the wineries are so close together, you may think your mind is going crazy. I had a great time and conditions were great to improve my wave riding and even my jumping skills. C U next winter beloved Mother City!”
