CommentI saw this movie plenty of times and every time I shudder. I have personally known Daida and besides being a great athlete she is great person and has shown herself talking about what happened in this video. I'm super happy to see her competing again after terrible times she faced last year and especially seeing her smile.

DescriptionJust a funny wipe out. I went for a pushloop and caught the end of the mast in the wave, which stopped me half way through.

DateOctober 2012
LocationCornwall - UK
DescriptionJust 2 weeks after I started walking again without crutches I decided to enter the competition for the British Wave Sailing Titles and try to defend my first place after the first two events of the year. In this heat my recovering foot that still wasn't bending at the ankle or toes got stuck in the footstrap and I went over the falls, without being able to get away from my gear. I got washed to the rocks and ended up being rescued by jet ski, which also ended up on the rocks too. It was quite scary but even more painful as the rocks were sharp and covered in sharp shells haha! Hopefully that was the last wave in that heat so I till made it to the next round. Even though the waves were not massive it was the worst wipeout I've ever had, and the first time I received help from the jet ski. Apart from the jump that broke my foot in Pozo, this was my worst wipeout of 2012.
CommentI was really happy to see my gear in one piece after that. :)
