Dagan Goes Gaastra

Arnon Dagan becomes the latest rider to pull off a transfer coup and some shiny new gear for the 2008 season…

‘Yes its true, what can I say? I'm super happy and excited to join the Gaastra team’, said Dagan, 30, from Haifa Israel.

Gaastra’s made huge steps in the last few years, plus the sails are looking sick so I feel I can do really well on them.

Every year I train and tune together with my good friends Ross Williams (Tabou / Gaastra) and Steve Allen (Tabou / Gaastra), so now that we’re on the same sails life’ll become much easy, and hopefully much faster.

I’m also really happy to stay on the fantastic Fanatic team. They’ve given me amazing support for over 6 years now, and like the boards, they just never seem to let you down.

And the excitement continues as I also came back onto the Red Bull team after a year out after some corporate reorganisation in Israel.

It’s very important to me to be involved with them again. It was a very long process and hard work to arrange, but now its done I am starting the year feeling great and full confidence, and a lot of that is thanks to help I got from Bjorn Dunkerbeck (T1 / North).

Right now
I’m at home now waiting for some new race sails, but the former PWA event site in Bat Galim is great for wavesailing so I’m enjoying the Gaastra’s out on the reef here’.
