Nayra Alonso Takes a Massive Leap Forward to Recovery...

Injured women's star Nayra Alonso (Fanatic / Severne) suffered a major set back in January by breaking a broken foot during training in South Africa.

Alonso, who won the final women's wavesailing event of the season in 2007, was tipped for the top this coming season but has had to undergo surgery and fast track rehab to get her season's campaign back on track.

Finally after coming out of plaster and hitting the gym big time she's on her feet and a step closer to making it back on the water.

The first women's wave sailing event of the season is at Guincho in June, so here's wishing Nayra a speedy recovery in time for us all to see her in action in Portugal.
