More Of What?

The windsurfing community cast their votes on the future direction of the PWA World Tour.

Windsurfing’s freshest internet offering, www.beachtelegraph.com is currently running a poll on the upcoming 2009 PWA season. The survey, which asks readers to vote on what disciplines they would like to see more of, has been in a state of flux since voting started a week ago. However, as time ticks by opinion seems to be generating a relatively conclusive decision.

Here are the poll results as of today:

What would you like to see more on the 2009 PWA tour?

34%     Wave sailing events only

29.9%  Multi-discipline Grand Slams

17%     I want super cross back

11.6%  Slalom racing events

9.5%    Freestyle events

Unsurprisingly, wave sailing appears to be most popular option amongst visitors to the beach telegraph website.

At present the 2009 World Tour calendar is being finalised by the PWA events team, who are hard at work negotiating contracts from the PWA’s Hawaiian HQ. Though no official statement will be released until the bulk of events have been confirmed, the PWA’s Tour Manager, Richard Page has hinted towards the prospect of a few surprises for 2009.
