RRD Continue To Expand Their International Team

Slovenian sailor, Tine Slabe joins the growing ranks of the RRD international windsurfing team.

Competing in both freestyle and slalom, Tine is Slovenia’s top windsurfer and an accomplished all round PWA competitor. Following the announcement of Tine’s move to RRD, the Italian board manufacturer have said that Tine will be highly focused on improving his slalom sailing over the 2009 PWA season, alongside his role as a figure head for the RRD brand, which seems to be going from strength to strength at the moment.

Tine has commented,

“I am super happy to be in a motivated team, RRD. I just got my new "working tools" and they look great! I cannot wait to try them out. As I speak Italian fluently I feel like a part of the Italian RRD family and I think I can better understand their way to work and develop new equipment. I think I can spread this feeling and grow with the RRD family.

For next year I will concentrate only on PWA slalom, besides some great projects. My goal is to get even more experience and enter the top 20 in the final ranking of the year which would be a good achievement for my second slalom season. But of course with those great racing machines you can expect some surprises in 2009!!!”

We wish Tine the best of luck in the forthcoming PWA season.
