Going Hard: John Skye

John ‘Skyeboy’ Skye shows the fruits of his winter’s labour in his latest video.

Having spent the winter of 08/09 road tripping almost non-stop, John Skye has finally had a chance to piece together the best parts of his footage into a video for all his fans. Documenting everything from Cape Town through to Maui and Cabo Verde, it would be fair to say that Skyeboy’s had a solid run of sessions this winter.

Skyeboy commented:

"I have been trying to put this video together for ages, but never quite got around to it. Unfortunately I hurt my foot pretty bad, which meant no sailing.... but it did mean I had more time for video work!

This is a selection of footage from around the world this winter. Its been really good, but like always the hard part is getting someone to film when the conditions are firing. So a massive thanks to everyone that stood on the beach with a camera.”

Currently recovering from injury, Skyboy hasn’t had the start to the season he was hoping for after his wounds restricted him to a disappointing 25th in the Cabo Verde PWA World Cup. We wish him the best of luck with his recovery, and look forward to seeing him fully fit and firing in Guincho in June.
