Latest Release From UMI

The unique media house goes big in Pozo.

Umi, one of windsurfing’s most elite media collaborations, has recently released its latest clip from the 2009 PWA Pozo Event. Filmed in stunning HD quality, this clip combines jaw-dropping action with behind-the-scenes interviews from top names such as Jonas Ceballos, Kauli Seadi, Victor Fernandez, Thomas Traversa, Dario Ojeda, Alex Mussolini, Ricardo Campello and the event winner Philip Köster.

This year’s PWA Pozo Grand Slam was a fantastic event that saw the rise of the sport’s hottest new talent, Philip Koster. The highlights of the action have been captured in this movie excellently, and the quality of the production does justice to the epic nature of the contest. Check it out HERE.

Umi is the brainchild of Brendan Pyatt and Mart Kuperij who both have been working in the windsurfing industry for several years as a photographer and editor respectively. Both successful in their own fields they want to bring their passion and energy together without the confines that working for other parties brings.

At the moment Umi is working on several video projects. One telling the story of three times world champion Kauli Seadi’s time with Quatro and Naish, one about windsurfing around the UK and a surf style film based around Alex Mussolini, Jonas Ceballos and Thomas Traversa,

This exciting company has also recently signed Maui raised, Ivy-League ripper Graham Ezzy, who is stoked to be on the team. Check out what he has to say about his new sponsor HERE.

In a sport where creativity is key, it is great to have a team of successful and driven professionals shaking up windsurfing’s media fraternity. We look forward to the upcoming releases that will showcase all Umi’s hard work.
