Hancock Hired

Tabou and Vandal snap up the British Wave Champion.

After quite a few years of tearing it up on his home turf, Jamie Hancock (Tabou, Vandal) has decided it's time to go global. And with backing from his new sponsors, Tabou and Vandal, he's got the tools to take his sailing to the next level.

Hancock will compete on the World Tour in waves for the first time in 2010. However, this won't be his first experience of competing with the big boys. He did in fact take part in some of the indoor competitions when the PWA went to London 5 years ago, and performed very well, so watch out for him on tour this year!

Hancock is currently in Cape Town getting in as much port tack practice as possible, and then on his return we're told he'll be heading to Maui. In amongst his training, he'll also be editing videos for the specialist windsurfing media house, Umi. You can check out a full interview with him on their site by following this link HERE.

We look forward to new blood joining the tour, and will be watching out for Hancock at the events throughout the year. Good luck with your pre season preparations Jamie!
