Interview with Kevin Pritchard
Q: Do you regard 2002 as a successful year?
<PHOTO1>
KP: It has been a great year for me. I was kind of surprised to have it come together so well but in the end it worked out well. With the PWA racing I was a bit disappointed with my Formula result in Poland but to come back and win in Sylt was very satisfying!
Q: What were the high and low points?
KP: The high point was winning the PWA Wave World Title and the low was sitting around for Ireland. Even though I had the title wrapped up if there was no wind, I would have preferred to be competing.
Q: What was the sickest days sailing you had?
KP: There have been too many to count. Recently on Maui, it seems like every day is a sick day.

Q: Now you have won the PWA, wave, race and overall titles what is your next
major goal?
KP: My next goal is to do it all over again. With the level out there so high, it just gets harder and harder to keep having to win all the time.
Q: What are your plans during the winter months?
KP: I am spending most of the winter on Maui just having fun and focusing for next year.
Q: We saw the one handed, one legged back loop in Gran Canaria.... any more new
tricks up your sleeve?
KP: I might have a couple more ready for action but just making sure that I can land them every time. I think that a lot of people will be doing the one handed one legged back loop so will definitely have to pull something new out of the bag.
Q: Three words to describe yourself?
<PHOTO3>
KP: Calm, happy, focused.
Q: Three words to describe your past?
KP: Amazing, fun, living the dream.
Q: Words to live by?
KP: If you really want something you can have it. Live your dreams!
