Tow-In Tenerife Style

Dany Bruch shows his own unique take on tow-in windsurfing.

The freestyle guys have been doing it for a while, but tow in windsurfing is unchartered territory when it comes to wavesailing. This didn’t phase Tenerife’s Dany Bruch (Severne / Patrik / Al360) though, who jumped at the opportunity to pioneer the new discipline at Tenerife’s Siam Park.

Siam Park is a man made water park which amongst various attractions features the world’s biggest wave pool, which can generate both right and left handers up to 3m high. Combine this with the PWA’s fifth ranked wavesailor for 2010, a ski, a media crew and few buddies to goad him on, and you have the makings of some pretty breath taking footage.

Bruch commented:

“During the day Siam Park is a massive and sick water park, with big slides and lots of entertainment, but after it shuts down in the evening, that amazing wave pool starts to work. A couple of days of training on open sea were necessary so that we were fully prepared when we got in the pool, as space is limited there and we only had 2 hours in total to make a good show.

We arrived with a pretty big crew, 2 photographers, one camera man, the ski and driver, plus a couple of friends that could not let escape the chance to see how it would work out.   Enjoy!”
