Costa Brava Confirmed

It’s with great pleasure that we confirm the 2011 Catalunya-Costa Brava PWA World Cup.

As the 2011 PWA world tour season begins to pick up pace, we would like to officially announce that the 2011 Catalunya-Costa Brava PWA World Cup has now been confirmed.

This historic event, with over a decade of competition heritage, will mark the third stop for the PWA’s elite men’s slalom fleet. Renowned for record numbers of competitors, and being one of the most popular stops on the world tour, we look forward to what is always a nail biting show down in the picturesque Bay of Rosas.

The Key Facts

Where:    The Bay of Rosas, Costa Brava, Spain.

When:     May 31st - June 5th.

What:     A World Cup status event featuring the PWA’s men’s slalom fleet competing for €40,000.

The Catalunya-Costa Brava PWA World Cup has long been a favorite amongst competitors. We asked 2010 PWA slalom World Champion Antoine Albeau (JP / NeilPryde) exactly what he likes so much about event:

“Costa Brava is one of the most consistent and fun events on the PWA World Tour - I like competing there very much. The event is always well organised, there is a great atmosphere and we've always had plenty of action on the water! I expect to be fighting again with Bjorn of course, but some of the other guys like Ross, Micah, Jimmy, Cyril and Finian will be trying their best to win too - its going to be exciting to I hope everyone will be watching!!”
