The North Sea is brewing fierce waves and savage winds for the world’s slickest wave riders as they approach their third battle on the 2011 PWA Men’s Wave Tour.

With just nineteen days until the start of the 2011 KIA @coldhawaii PWA World Cup in Klitmøller, Denmark, the excitement is already building and the tension is rising. Forty-two of the world’s most radical wave riders are signed up for the third stop on the 2011 PWA men’s wave tour and they are ready to fight it out for those critical mid-season world ranking points and a taste of the €30,000 prize purse.

Klitmøller is Denmark’s most ferocious wave spot, famed for its nuclear winds and its wild waves that the North Sea conjures up. The extreme conditions provide the perfect playground to test the international wave fleet to the edge of their ability, and ensures’ that the sailors will be unleashing their most death-defying moves from their repertoire of tricks.

Seven days of vigorous competition will take place between the 12-18th September and it promises to be a spectacular show with the likes of current tour leader Philip Koster (Starboard / NeilPryde / Dakine), throwing double forwards. Three times world wave champion Kauli Seadi (JP / NeilPryde), ripping the waves to pieces. Former wave champion Victor Fernandez Lopez (Fanatic / North / MFC), pulling super-tweaked pushloops, and the man with the highest jumps on tour, Ricardo Campello (JP / NeilPryde / MFC) flying through each heat.

Alongside the jet-set fleet will be a host of local sailors ready to test their skills against the world’s best. Including PWA veteran Lars Peterson (JP / NeilPryde) and tour regular Kenneth Danielsen (F2, Simmer, MFC, Mystic). Expect to see these sailors rising up through the ranks on their home spot.
