Iachino makes a change

Italian youth slalom star will be representing the ever-growing F2 team in 2012.

It’s that time of year when sailors and brands alike are making changes to their equipment and their teams for 2012. There are plenty of rumors currently flying around about who will ride for who, with a number of major announcements on there way.

One of the first big announcements of the year is that youth slalom sailor Matteo Iachino (F2 / Mystic / AL360) will no longer be riding for JP and Gaastra but joining the super-talented F2 team and the Italian sail manufacturer Challenger. This season Iachino was awarded third place in the youth slalom category for his efforts on the race course and he secured a number of top thirty places, particularly impressive against so many big names in the fleet.

To complement his announcement Iachino has also released a short clip sailing in Albisola, Liguria on his shiny new equipment.
