Windsurfing into the Unknown

Philip Soltysiak and Michael Rossmeier present their latest movie Windsurfing into the Unknown - Kenya

In 2010 Philip Soltysiak (Starboard / Sailworks) and Michael Rossmeier (F2 / Gaastra) released their first Windsurfing into the Unknown movie, which was set in the stunning surroundings of Columbia. Now the duo have released their sequel of Windsurfing into the Unknown. This time around Soltysiak and Rossmeier travelled to the undiscovered paradise of Kenya.

The movie doesn’t just concentrate on the idyllic windsurfing conditions, which the Canadian and the Austrian take full advantage of as they glide through effortless freestyle moves, but it also offers you an insight into the amazing culture, the friendly people and the breathtaking scenery. All of which make this sixteen minute sequel a must see.

Here’s what Soltysiak and Rossmeier had to say about Windsurfing into the Unknown:

In early 2012, Windsurfing Into the Unknown set out to discover Kenya’s picturesque coastline and wild safaris as a windsurfing destination.

Many of you may have already seen photos and stories from the journey, but now, finally, the full movie from the trip is complete and ready for you to watch.

All the footage is from Kenya’s coastline, both north and south of Mombasa, and inland from Tsavo East National Park, finally all the music is by Kenyan artists.
