RIP MIKEY CLANCY

Today the windsurfing world has been rocked by the news that the inspirational Irish wave sailor, Mikey Clancy, has tragically passed away

Today the windsurfing world has lost a passionate, inspiring, rising star. Mikey Clancy (Fanatic / North) was loved throughout the windsurfing community and he was well known for his fearless attitude on the water as well as being truly down to earth.

Mikey Clancy’s world class sailing ability was always unquestionable and he showed this once more upon his return to the PWA World Tour this year, after a miraculous recovery from a severe ankle injury. The Irishman finished in 13th place during the PWA Cold Hawaii event in Klitmoeller, his best ever, and he will be sorely missed by the whole of the windsurfing world.

Everyone at the PWA would like to pass on our heartfelt condolences to Mikey’s friends and family. RIP Mikey.
