Dieter Van der Eyken (Starboard / Severne) is one of the rising stars on the PWA Freestyle World Tour. The twenty-year old is one of the most talented and dangerous young talents in the world and he continues to improve his already incredible level. 2012 proved to be a great year for Van der Eyken too as he broke into the top four for the first time during the PWA Fuerteventura PWA Grand Slam single elimination. Unfortunately he wasn’t able to hang onto his first ever top four finish due to fellow Belgium Steven van Brockhoven storming back through the double elimination.
The freestyle maestro spent his winter, like many other of the top freestylers, in Sao Miguel do Gostoso, Brazil and his latest video is nothing short of incredible. Van Der Eyken lands astonishing air kabikuchis, air bobs and fully planing culos as he takes full advantage of the small ramps on offer. On the inside the Belgium rotates through incredible combos such as flaka shaka flakas, double air funnels and triple punetas, but the best of all is a quite brilliant no-handed burner.
As well as gaining the applause of a kiter, there is also some brutal crashes at the end of the video which are definitely worth watching.
