KING KÖSTER

Can anyone stop the formidable force of Philip Köster?

With the first event of the 2013 PWA Wave World Tour just under a few weeks aways reigning world champion - Philip Köster (Starboard / NeilPryde / Maui Ultra Fins) - has just released his latest video, which will strike fear into his rivals, who will be looking to try and prevent Köster from marching towards a third successive title.

Köster’s latest showing is nothing short of spectacular and it looks as though the likes of Victor Fernandez (Fanatic / North), Alex Mussolini (Tabou / Gaastra), Ricardo Campello (JP / NeilPryde / MFC) - to name a few - are going to have an extremely tough time beating him again this year.

The nineteen year old launches into his perfect, bolt upright, trademark double forwards, stunning pushloop forwards, monster stalled forwards and even pushloops on the opposite tack - starboard. After such a mind-blowing display in the air you’d think the wonderkid may have some problems matching his performance on the wave, but yet again he excels. Köster links powerful turns with silky smooth frontside and backside wave 360s, no-handed goiters and sensational double takas to firmly send out the message that he is more than ready for the upcoming season, which kicks off from the 9th of July in Pozo, Gran Canaria.
