Sweden vs Maui - Where would you rather be?

Gustav Häggström (RRD) is still a relatively unheard name on the PWA World Tour, having only made his debut in 2012 at the Gran Canaria Wind & Waves Festival. Plus the fact that he is only seventeen years old, however it’s clear that this young Swedishman is on the move. At the start of the year Häggström was taken under the wings of RRD and given the chance to blossom, especially when invited to attend the RRD photoshoot in Maui.

Häggström has just released his new movie and he’s continuing to rapidly improve, whilst looking equally as comfortable and dangerous on either tack. The up and coming talent rotates his way through big, controlled backloops and perfectly executed forwards. He also shows his prowess on the wave, combining some aggressive hacks with the odd nice aerial. If he continues to improve at the same rate, then he’ll certainly be a name to watch out for more and more over the coming years.

On a slightly separate note, everyone at the PWA would like to take the chance to wish you a very happy new year. Enjoy your celebrations and lets hope 2014 is a windy and wavy one!
