DOWN THE LINE

Ben Newson in a down the line Western Australian dream

Western Australia may seem like a distant dream to many windsurfers around the globe right now, what with the booming economy of Perth. However, for any aspiring windsurfer Western Australia still has to rate as one of the must visit locations in the world. When you combine the road trip style adventure with its world class - uncrowded - waves the time and energy invested to get there are soon paid off.

Ben Newson (KA Sail) is one of the lucky windsurfers who gets to call Perth home and he’s certainly been scoring some epic conditions, his efforts of chasing forecasts and driving countless miles certainly paid dividends.

The thirty year old has just released a brilliant new movie, which will make any wave sailor extremely jealous. Newson scores wave-after-wave of down the line perfection and he duly obliges in delivering powerful vertical hits and aerials in the idyllic conditions that Western Australia so often produces.
