Nick van Ingen takes full advantage of the return of the wind to northern Europe

After a sustained period of high pressure, the wind finally returned to northern Europe recently thanks to Hurricane Bertha. One sailor to take full advantage of the return of the howling winds was Nick van Ingen (Fanatic / North / Mystic / Maui Ultra Fins), who headed to his home spot - Brouwersdam - for some epic freestyle conditions.

Brouwersdam, which hosted a PWA event last year, is home to many of the world’s top freestylers and van Ingen’s latest clip highlights exactly why, with its combination of flat water and chop providing the perfect training arena.

In the young Dutchman’s latest video van Ingen launches into explosive culos, air flakas and skopus as he takes his 2015 equipment for its first spin. The twenty year old currently sits in joint 17th in the overall world rankings after finishing 19th and 17th respectively in the opening two events of the year.
