Road Trip of the Year

In September of last year Jamie Hancock (Tabou) spotted an excellent forecast for Lewis, Outer Hebrides, Scotland. Eager not to miss out on the chance to score one of his favourite destinations in the world, Hancock, was quickly on the phone to fellow Brit, Phil Horrocks (Tabou / GA Sails), to begin the long journey up to Scotland from the south coast of England.

Of course with any road trip there is the looming fear of a skunking, but thankfully this time around their efforts were rewarded to the maximum with clean, peeling walls of perfection and a strong cross offshore breeze, which made for near enough wave sailing heaven with monstrous aerials and line-after-line of great waves.
