Six-time PWA Freestyle World Champion - Jose ‘Gollito’ Estredo (Fanatic / North / MFC) - who currently sits in second place in this years title race now faces a race against time to be fit for the third freestyle stop in Fuerteventura.

Jose ‘Gollito’ Estredo had this to say: “Today was not my best day on the water, a few days ago I came to Adicora to film my second video of the year and today I had a small rib fracture, I’m so sorry to say this really bad news, I will be out of the water for 6 weeks, and I will do my best to come back stronger.”

The Rene Egli Fuerteventura PWA World Cup runs between the 24th July to the 2nd August with the freestyle fleet competing over the opening five days. After his early diagnosis this would give Gollito approximately ten days preparation in order to regain his full fitness.
