The PWA, Bonaire, Freestyle Finals King of the Caribbean 2003 Celebration

Held at the City Café Bonaire the PWA season concluded in style with the 2003 freestyle Overall awards ceremony. This year’s sensational freestyle tour included events in Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura and the finals in the stunning flat-water conditions of Bonaire. Ricardo Campello (JP, Neil Pryde) of Brazil won the men's title after winning the Gran Canaria and Bonaire events and placing fifth in Fuerteventura.

This year’s sensational freestyle tour included events in Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura and the finals in the stunning flat-water conditions of Bonaire. Ricardo Campello (JP, Neil Pryde) of Brazil won the men's title after winning the Gran Canaria and Bonaire events and placing fifth in Fuerteventura. Kauli Seadi (Naish, AHD) of Brazil took second overall for the year with Robby Swift (JP, Neil Pryde) of Britain finishing in third. The average age of the 33 male sailors at the last event of the season was around 20 illustrating how many young sailors have joined the PWA tour.

The women's tour saw Daida Moreno (Mistral, North) of Spain pick up the title for the first time after a close fought battle with Karin Jaggi (F2, Arrows) of Switzerland, who took second with Iballa Moreno (Mistral, North) taking third. The party at the City Cafe rocked into the night with the tour elite sailors carving up the dance floor until two in the morning.
