Relive the very best of the action from the 2015 Davidoff Cool Water Sylt PWA World Cup

This years event may not have been blessed with wind, but that’s not to say that the biggest windsurfing event of the year wasn’t packed with lots of radical action.

Over the 10 days of the event one slalom elimination was completed in tricky light wind conditions. Matteo Iachino (Fanatic / North) came out on top and with no further wind claimed his second event victory of the year, which takes the Italian to number one in the world with just one event to go.

Aside from several fun SUP Races, tow-in windsurfing showed its true value again in the absence of wind allowing the contortionists of the windsurfing world to keep the huge crowds entertained with a myriad explosive manoeuvres. Over the course of the contest Adam Sims (Patrik / Sailloft Hamburg / Flymount), Taty Frans (Starboard / GA Sails / Mystic) and Amado Vrieswijk (JP / Severne) all tasted victory in the tow-in — with Frans winning the Philips Night Tow-in Session.

And of course Dieter Van der Eyken (Starboard / Severne) became only the second Belgian ever to win a PWA Freestyle World Championship -- after Steven Van Broeckhoven's (JP / NeilPryde) victory in 2011 -- to cap an unbelievable year for the twenty-three year old.
