Adam Sims on the road to recovery after suffering prolapsed disc

Adam Sims (Patrik / Sailloft Hamburg) is on the road back to full fitness after undergoing spinal surgery for a prolapsed disc in his back. The Brit had spent the winter in Cape Town, South Africa, but now faces a race against time to be able to compete in the first freestyle event of the year in Fuerteventura this July.

Adam Sim’s on his injury: “It’s been a rough ride but I'm getting there now. I got super sick the last couple of days as well. Was a bit nervous that this was something to do with my operation, but I'm in the all clear now, just bad timing.

To be honest the story is a bit less exciting, I mean I had pains after this big session in Cape Town that Ben Proffitt filmed and it kind of lead on from there, I first destroyed my shoulder and tore the bicep tendon, then I got out to Germany and had a stupid fall and made it all worse and that's when I started to lose some feeling in my left hand and fingers. Then one week later I'm having spinal surgery for a severe prolapsed disc. That's basically the gist of it... I've got a fairly decent pic of the prolapse.”

Everyone from the PWA wishes Adam a speedy and successful recovery.
