A Dearly Journey

Antoine Albert (Goya Windsurfing) enjoyed his best year to date on the PWA Freestyle World Tour as the 23-year-old broke into the world’s top 10 for the first time in his career - finishing 7th overall for 2017.

Albert is also an avid wave sailor and his latest video sees him travelling around Cape Town, South Africa in search of wind, waves and flat water depending on whether he was sailing waves or freestyle.

Antoine Albert: “After a 2 month training journey in South Africa around Cape Town freestyle and wave sailing, I managed to collect some footage to edit this video. After an intense start of the trip in terms of sailing, I unfortunately injured my right ankle that kept me out of the water for 2 weeks plus one week of chill sailing not to injure it again. At the end of the trip I went back close to my level thanks to a non-stop blowing wind in Mother City and regular osteopathy sessions. I also had some good surf sessions in glassy and powerful beach break with a lot of current. 

Right now I’m in Morocco in Moulay Bouzerktoun to train myself on starboard tack and also participate in the PWA wave qualifier.
