A moment to savour

Victor gets tweaked

Setting out for victory

02/05/2007 - created by Brian McDowell

Victory at Last

2006 represented a coming of age for hyped-up young PWA performer Victor Fernandez (E-42 Fanatic / Simmer). Finally delivering an event win at Pozo, Victor’s name was etched in history alongside the greats that have carved out crucial wins, and cemented world championship crowns in nearly every pro tour season past.

Victor's work rate and variety of moves dazzled all who witnessed the spectacle, especially considering the opposition he faced against names like Kevin Pritchard (US-3 Starboard / MauiSails) and Kauli Seadi (BRA-253 Quatro / Naish).

Fanatic have a special video devoted to this achievement on their website, appropriately entitled ‘Victoryman’. Visit them  to see how Spain's hottest prospect fought his way to the podium here!

Otherwise, you can check the same footage in WSJTV’s excellent flash player, plus check out bonus coverage of Jason Polakow (KA-111 JP / NeilPryde), Robby Naish (US-111 Naish / Naish). Kevin Pritchard, and Robby Swift (K-89 JP / NeilPryde) all warming up for the fast approaching Cabo Verde specialist wave event with an epic Kona session at Lanes. Feast your eyes here!
