Athens Re-Scheduled

The exciting new Athens event is moved to June.

Some unforeseen circumstances for the PWA and the local organisers have meant the brand new Athens indoor contest will now most likely take place at the end of June, in between the Costa Brava and Lanzarote tour stops.

The postponement is due to the Peace and Friendship stadium, a major league basketball venue, receiving an unexpected re-scheduling of critical match for one of the Greek teams.

As the fans, pool and specialist infrastructure of the windsurfing take so much time to put in place and break down, it’s virtually impossible to run both competitions, so the organisers have opted for a prime time June weekend instead.
