The 2007 Ulsan PWA World Cup - Registration Day

The tension’s mounting and crowds are gathering here in Ulsan, Korea, as the worlds elite Slalom 42 racers sign up and get ready for action tomorrow.

A full fleet of top names has been tempted to Jinha Beach for the inaugural PWA Slalom 42 World Cup in this exciting new location.

Undisputed 2006 World Champion Antoine Albeau (Starboard / NeilPryde), last season’s runner-up Micah Buzianis (JP / NeilPryde), all-rounder Kevin Pritchard (Starboard / MauiSails) and many more have all put ink to paper to open the 2007 title race.

France’s Sarah Hebert (Starboard / Naish) and multiple world champion Karin Jaggi (F2 / North) have also staked their claims amongst a strong fleet of racers from throughout Asia, all eager for their share of the €45K prize fund.

The local organisers, in association with the Ulsan Broadcasting Corporation, have laid on an extravagant and incredibly impressive infrastructure for this high-profile event.

Windsurfing is due to be big news in this region in the coming days, and the action on the water is not likely to disappoint the sizeable crowds that are expected to attend and view our exciting sport at its best.

Wind conditions are promising for some exhilarating action tomorrow for spectators and riders alike, and a glitzy opening ceremony celebrating our Korean host’s culture is scheduled for this evening.

You’ll be able to follow all the action at www.pwaworldtour.com with our live event ticker, daily news updates, live elimination ladders and exciting photo galleries.
