A Rack of Tender Ribs for Victor

Fernandez takes a Blow

Ouch! Guincho winner Victor Fernandez (Fanatic / Simmer) has suffered a setback before the fast apporaching Canaries leg of the tour.

Whilst training at home on the mainland, the Spanish star crashed trying the move of the moment - the Pushloop-Forward.

23 yr-old Fernandez, who lives in Almeria on the Med coast, was not listed as an entrant to the Freestyle in Lanzarote, and will no doubt be hoping for a swift recovery before defending his first event title at Pozo in July.

In the meantime many pro's have been enjoying good conditions at Pozo, apparently with some good swell, before heading to Lanzarote for the Slalom and Freestyle. The rest will be staying in Gran Canaria to try and hone their skills before the rest return.

Here's wishing Victor a speedy recovery and the chance to defend his title.
