Cribb's Channel Crossing

Former PWA Star Guy Cribb plans a mammoth solo crossing of the English Channel

Of course the British windsurfers are renowned for their hardiness in extreme weather, but former PWA rider Guy Cribb is taking things a step further this coming Fall.

From the Normandy coast port of Cherbourg, to his home in Poole on the South coast of England, Cribby plans a daunting 70 mile solo crossing of the English Channel from France, through some of it's most dangerous waters in the name of charity and good causes.

Cribb's never been known for a sane idea and this is no ordinary attempt either. The Dorset coast is much wilder than the regular Dover-to-Calais crossing's countless brave souls have swum, sailed and paddled across in recent years, and, being closer to the lethal channel approaches around the Fall equinox Cribb will surely have his work cut out?

However, Guy's experience in marathon events is growing after he recently ran a successful mass participation long-distance race along the south coast and certainly seems to have a taste for the challenge.
