09:40 Conditions look very challenging to day the least.... local boy Jose Romero currently leads as we head into the last five minutes followed by Laurent, but Morisio is still very much within striking distance.
09:33 Sounds as though most sailors will be reaching for their smallest equipment again. Dieter van der Eyken, who is up in the second heat was prepping his 3.3m, but if it continues like this he'll have to consider ordering a 3.0m in the future. The Belgian has also just told our Head Judge that he thinks it's windier than yesterday. Hold on to your hats, folks!
09:32 Men's Heat 24 now sailing - Laurent vs Morisio vs Romero vs Konishi
09:30 First heat up will be Men's Heat 24 - Laurent vs Morisio vs Romero vs Konishi
09:05 It's ON! Men's Double Elimination will be coming up from 9:30am with 13 minute heats - best two waves & two jumps to count.
08:57 Conditions are cooking pumping waves and at least as much wind as yesterday, so this promises to be a day you don't want to miss... this is about as good as Pozo gets from first glance.
Good morning and welcome to the second day of the 2025 Gran Canaria Gloria Windsurf World Cup, which looks set to be another classic Pozo day with the wind still absolutely nuking and the waves currently looking really good at the bunker. Skippers' meeting coming up at 9am with a first possible start at 9:30am.
Yesterday saw an amazing day of the action with over 50 knots of wind and solid waves creating the ideal playground for the most radical sailors to do what they do best... go massive!
