- The top 4 women have now been released for the day
18:40 That's it for another day here in Gran Canaria after another full day of action here, which saw the Women's Single Elimination completed and the Women's Double Elimination begin in some great conditions as a new swell hit Pozo during the late afternoon / early evening. A huge congratulations to Daida Moreno, who earlier won the Single Elimination ahead of Sarah-Quita Offringa, Sol Degrieck and Alexia Kiefer Quintana. Now the question is can Daida successfully defend her Single Elimination crown or can any of the other women deny her a 23rd event title in Pozo? Skippers' meeting tomorrow has been called for 9:30am for the Women and Youth fleets - first possible start 10am. Thanks for tuning in today and see you again tomorrow.

17:50 Katz with a couple of aggressive snaps, but not the best wave selection, which will limit her scoring potential.
17:49 A pumping set has just come rolling through Pozo Izquierdo, but sadly there was no one on it. Bang Wittrup currently leads with a forward loop, but it remains incredibly close between all four of them.

13:58 However, Moreno has just managed to land a goiter, so that'll change things again. 6.75 points and she's into the lead.
13:57 Offringa with her best wave of the heat, which will reduce the deficit - 5.5 points - that actually sends her into the lead.
13:56 Moreno also pulls off a frontside 360 - if she'd have landed that that would've been game, set and match. Under 4 minutes to go.

13:09 Degrieck drops her second 7.5 point wave of the heat and she's not racked up 24.5 points - the highest of the day so far.
13:06 Kiefer Quintana has stuck an almost 9 perfect backloop. Degrieck with a sick taka - throwing out the fins and then managing to control the rotation! Those two are well ahead after the opening exchanges and after just 5 minutes Degrieck has almost set the highest score of the day - 23.25.

12:37 3 minutes to go...
12:25 Katz in a clear second place, but Wermeister and Morales haven't filled their scoresheet yet.
12:24 Still some really nice sets rolling through down by the bunker and unlike yesterday there's flatwater in between, which allows Moreno to launch into a big stalled forward - 7.1 points - and she remains well ontop in this one.
12:20 After the initial exchanges it's Moreno well on top after landing a stalled forward and a one-handed backloop. Katz currently second followed by Wermeister and Morales - who just missed out on the podium here last year in fourth place.
12:17 Women's Heat 19 now sailing - Katz vs Morales vs Moreno vs Wermeister
12:16 Result Women's Heat 18 - Kiefer Quintana and Kloster advance - Kiefer Quintana may have escaped, but there's still a major upset in that heat with Justyna Sniady being eliminated. 12:13 There's still a major upset on the cards here with Kiefer Quintana currently missing ou tin third place... can she save it?

10:51 Daida cruising through the early stages of this one as he adds a stylish backloop to her scoresheet.
10:49 Daida starts with a nice forward and then lines up for a wave and attempts a frontside 360 - not quite this time.

10:23 Sniady extends her already significant lead after landing a nice pushloop.
10:22 After the opening exchanges in this one Justyna Sniady is in total control of the heat. The Pole has a wealth of experience here and will be hoping to put together a deep run. So far Sniady had landed a stylish backloop and a forward. Behind her van Noesel is currently in pole position to secure second place, but Bang Wittrup isn't a million miles away with about another eight minutes to go.
