17:31 That concludes the opening day of the PWA Ulsan World Cup Korea as the wind has disappeared. The skippers meeting shall be held at 10am tomorrow morning, first possible start at 10:30. The top 5 is completed by: 2nd Vidal 3rd Aubet 4th Anayama 5th Suzuki. 17:29 Results of Men : 1st Bijl 2nd Kim 3rd Icingir 4th Williams 5th Volwater 6th Costa Hoevel 7th Bordes 8th Quentel 9th Diaz 10th Albeau. 17:21 It would seem Pieter Bijl is now in the lead with Turkey's Icingir chasing. 17:19 The race is still going as the wind has dropped to almost nothing. This could be a long race. 17:14 The prize money is split as so: Men $3500, Women $1500. Top 10 men and top 5 women will be paid. 17:11 It looks as though it's Ross Williams in the lead, followed by Costa Hoevel. 17:08 The majority of sailors aren't planing as the wind has really dropped, several sailors still haven't made the first mark whilst others are on their way back to the beach. 17:07 Fun race is underway, several sailors stuck in the wind shadow of eachother's sails the wind has also dropped back. 17:03 Everyone is called back to the beach as the sailors are a little to eager to get started. They'll be restarted in a moment. 16:59 This should be pretty chaotic with all sailors starting from the beach. 16:58 The fun race is going to consist of absolutely everyone with $5000 in prize money up for grabs. 16:55 We're going to have a break in the PWA Slalom heats here to allow the fun race to run. If the wind remains then racing shall resume afterwards. Sailors were out on sails around 9.5m and their big boards. 16:53 Results Heat 3 - 1st Quentel 2nd Questel 3rd Kiani 4th Buzianis 16:51 Results Heat 2 - 1st Albeau 2nd Iachino 3rd Dagan 4th Kaku 16:48 Heat 3 is now sailing - Quentel was first over the line followed by Questel. 16:43 Albeau holds his lead around the first gybe mark. Albeau first around the second gybe mark, pursued by Iachino. 16:42 Heat 2 is now sailing - Albeau off to a flyer. 16:38 Results Heat 1 - 1st Menegatti 2nd Mortefon 3rd Orth 4th Pressler. 16:37 Heat 2 is now sailing - General recall as well, Malina was too eager this time. 16:34 Menegatti still leading, closely followed by Morefon and Orth, Pressler in fourth. 16:32 Heat 1 is now sailing again - Menegatti crosses the line first. 16:27 Heat 1 is now sailing - Taty Frans goes over the line early though so we have a general recall. 16:24 Remember you can watch the action as it happens via the live stream on the PWA site. 16:22 Heat 1 is now in the countdown sequence. The red flag is up. 16:15 The wind has picked up to 9-13 knots. Heat 1 have been called to the committee boat, we will be starting as soon as possible. 16:05 The wind remains right on the threshold of 7 knots with 6-11 knots on the latest readings. Sailors will stay on standby to allow a quick start when the wind picks up. 15:55 The wind continues to be up and down which is stopping the first heats being sailed. Stay tuned for the next update. 15:45 Sailors will remain on standby for the moment, the wind is on and off with it being particularly light on the inside with readings of 4-10 knots.  15:30 Sailors of heat 1 are in standby mode, the wind is right on the edge at 6-12 knots. First possible start will be 15:45 stay tuned. 15:15 Sailors were out on kit around 9.6 sails and big boards, but the wind looks pretty light again now. We'll stay with 15 minute updates for the time being, first possible start 15:45 15:10 We've got several sailors out planing on the water now.  15:00 The winds swung cross shore and we've some breeze, judges are just heading out onto the water to check the conditions. Update in 15 minutes, first possible start at 15:30. 14:30 Light onshore breeze at the moment, sailors are just chilling around the event site and there's plenty of spectators doing the same. Very relaxed atmosphere on the opening day. 13:30 The wind has completely changed direction, but not strong enough to start the competition yet. At around 16:30 local time we'll have an interview via live stream with the current men's top 3 in the world: Bjorn Dunkerbeck, Gonzalo Costa Hoevel and Antoine Albeau, make sure you tune in.
