The 2012 PWA Ulsan World Cup Korea : Day 3 (All times GMT+8)
You can check out the equipment the slalom sailors have registered HERE. 17:15 Well the wind never quite materialised today so we are calling it a day here. The skippers meeting will be at 10:30, first possible start 11:00am.  17:00 The final call of the day will be made in 15 minutes time, not enough now and the wind is slightly cross onshore. 16:45 Still no improvement in the wind. The sailors that are on the water aren't planing right now. 16:35 Heat 4 will be in standby from 16:45 to allow the maximum chance of racing today. 16:30 The conditions remain the same as before. We'll update you at 16:45. 16:15 The wind is super patchy on the water and it's almost like a lottery as to who can plane. There's still time for it to fill it though.  15:30 Most of the sailors have headed back to the beach as the wind hasn't materialised. We'll keep you updated on the latest developments. 15:15 Unfortunately the wind is currently moving in the wrong direction with 3-6 knots being recorded. Almost all of the sailors on the water have stopped planing.  15:00 The wind seems to have dropped back to around 6 knots, so we'll stay with 15 minutes updates, first possible start being at 15:30. 14:45 The wind is continuing to build slowly with latest wind readings of 5-10 knots, plenty of sailors out on the water now warming up, for what looks like another afternoon of racing. Next update at 15:00. 14:30 The wind is beginning to pick up now. Sailors are preparing their sails in anticipation of racing beginning shortly. The latest readings are only 3-7 knots but we've had a couple of sailors on the plane, and in the last two days the wind has picked up almost instantly. Stay tuned. 13:30 There's a couple of learners on the water but the wind is only 3-5 knots at the moment. Hoping the thermal kicks in, in an hour or two. 13:00 Condition remain the same so most sailors have gone for lunch, next announcement at 13:30, first possible start 13:45. 12:00 The wind is still cross shore here in Korea, but it hasn't built enough for competition to begin. It's still early in the day so hopefully in an hour or two we will be on the water. If you haven't already make sure you check out the photo gallery and video from yesterday on the PWA site. 11:30 The wind's gone cross shore here already, still light but it's a promising start to the day. Next update in thirty minutes. 10:30 Day three at the PWA Ulsan World Cup Korea starts with light onshore winds and sunny skies. Let's hope the thermal wind kicks in again in the afternoon. We'll have another update for you in an hours time.
