The 2013 PWA KIA Cold Hawaii World Cup: Day 4 (All Times GMT+2)
17:56 The day is officially over here in Cold Hawaii with the wind dropping. The skippers' meeting tomorrow morning will be held at 10am with the first possible start at 10:30am. 17:55 It doesn't look like it's going to happen now as the wind has dropped back after the squall. 17:40 The winds starting to pickup and Proffitt has just launched into a backie. Heat 2 should be coming up very shortly featuring - Skye vs Martin & Fernandez vs Gobisch 17:30 There's a big, black cloud approaching Cold Hawaii which could bring some wind with it, so sailors from heat 2 will be ready for the first start at 5:45pm. Stay tuned. 17:15 The wind still hasn't picked up so next call at 17:30 with the first possible start at 17:30. 17:00 Next announcement at 5:15pm with the first possible start at 5:30pm. Alessio Stillrich and Ben Proffitt are still out on the water but the wind is looking very light. 16:30 With the conditions slightly improving the next official call will be made at 5pm - it's not contestable right now, but things can change rapidly - first possible start at 5:15pm. 16:05 The conditions have improved a little with Ben Proffitt being tempted back out on his wave kit. Still not enough but there's a little bit of action on the water now with slalom and freestylers out now. 15:40 There's a little bit of wind about and Peter Volwater has just planed off the beach on his slalom gear. 15:00 Ben Proffitt and Mikkel Asmussen are still live on the PWA TV. Join them as they have a tekkers chat about harness lines now.  14:36 Andersen cruises down a wave as team 1 take victory for the second time. 14:32 Hartkopp with a good lead of Knudsen as he catches a wave to power to the beach. Team 1 lead by half the length of the course, looks like Andersen will have a victory lap here barring disaster. 14:22 Round 2 is underway - team 1 are in the lead again after the first changeover. 14:17 The second round of the SUP challenge will be coming up shortly. 1-0 to team 1. 14:15 Hartkopp picks up a wave on the last leg, as team 1 prepare to take the victory, with team 2 yet to round the final buoy.  14:14 Oliver Hartkopp takes over the lead for team 1 who look like they are cruising to a comfortable victory. 14:12 Andersen paddles himself onto a wave to cruise down the home straight maintaining the lead.  14:10 Both competitors get washed by the waves, but they both make quick recoveries. Andersen still holds a big lead for team 2 as he approaches the buoy. 14:08 Smooth change over as Christian Andersen takes over for team 1. Team 2 have now got a lot of work to do to catch up. 14:06 Steinfath catches a wave after rounding the buoy to open up a big lead. 14:04 The race is underway and it's a tight start with both of them battling through the waves. 14:00 Start of the SUP race coming up on a few minutes time. 13:42 The SUP race will see Christian Andersen, Peter Steinfath, Oliver Hartkopp in the first team versus Christian Justesen, Jonas Knudsen and Rasmus in a relay race. 13:15 Ben Proffitt is currently out on the water trying a bit of float and ride in the light cross shore breeze. The forecast does show a bit of breeze in the afternoon / evening, so you never know something could materialize. 10:00 The plan for the day will be to hold a SUP race at 2pm - with registration opening from 1pm.
