Can Siver defend his lead? 17:24 Results Single Elimination at JP Aloha Classic - 1st Siver 2nd Seadi 3rd Roediger 4th Noireaux. 17:10 The awards ceremony will be coming up shortly. 17:07 Seadi milks another wave with 3 solid turns, before falling on the last. Noireaux goes big with a frontside wave 360 attempt, he goes out the back though. Siver is upping his game and delivers a frontside wave 360 with a backup turn to count! Seadi finishes off the heat with a goiter and a solid backup turn. Noireaux finishes with a tweaked aerial! 17:04 Roediger with a setup turn into a perfectly executed goiter and he finishes off with an aerial - he'll be right back in the mix after that one! The remaining three sailors are out the back stalking the next set. 17:01 Seadi going super vertical on his opening two turns again and then manages to squeeze in one more hack to back it up. Noireaux with a nice opening hack and then times his aerial perfectly off the lip. Siver with a super late hit and then a trademark tweaked air. Roediger winds up for an air taka, but he gets a little caught up and doesn't make it. Seadi lines up a section for a goiter, but can't pull it.  16:56 Seadi floats over the lip. Noireaux with one hit and then two aerials, Seadi just behind him starts off with a nice hack, but then closes out on him.  Roediger smacks the lip twice in a row. Siver on the final wave of the set links one nice hack and a float over the white water. It's still super close with 12 minutes to go. 16:51 Siver opens with two hacks and a tweaked aerial, whilst Noireaux responds with an aerial of his own with one additional hack. Roediger with a few turns and a one-handed aerial. Seadi chooses to kick off his initial wave looking for something better. Siver on a set and Seadi on the one behind. Siver huge aerial with a headthrow off the lip, goes down on his next hack. Seadi goes massive too with an aerial of his own and then breaks out the fins on a super aggressive top turn combo with a couple of other super fluid turns.. Beautiful lay down bottom turn into a gouging turn off the lip and he gets another sick vertical turn too. Seadi with another brilliant wave two fluid top and bottom turn combos before finishing with an aerial. KP and Angulo also pick up bombs and KP makes a bit more of it with a few very aggressive hacks. 16:20 Noireaux on a set wave and he climbs all the way to the lip. Angulo on the set wave behind and he busts an aerial and a couple of gouging turns. Pritchard also lands an aerial with a floater. Seadi finds a set wave and delivers a couple of fluid bottom to top turns, finishing off with a nice floater. Pritchard with a one-handed aerial and a couple of snappy slashes. Noireaux with a tweaked aerial. Angulo goes for another aerial but goes over the handle bars on the landing. Highest scores of the day from Siver with a magnificent performance. 16:07 Heat 14 is now sailing - Seadi vs Angulo vs Noireaux vs Pritchard K 16:05 Siver receives the highest scores of the day for that monster aerial - 9s from the judges! Sick frontside wave 360 from Pritchard, but he can't add anything else with the wave closing out. Ezzy on a set wave, big aerial. Siver hits the lip on another bomb. Nice aerial into a gauging one handed top turn from Pritchard. Ezzy down on a taka on his final wave. Siver ends with a floater and a foam climb.  15:59 Ezzy caught on the inside taking several waves on his head in the ripping current. Siver ends his wave with a frontside 360 and Roediger pulls out a goiter. Pritchard stomps an aerial but then the wave closes out on him. Siver goes massive on a over mast high bomb launching off the lip for an sick aerial. Roediger also lands an aerial in the flats but then goes down. 15:52 Pritchard gauges 4 or 5 solid turns together. Siver boosts a big aerial with a few slashy hits. Ezzy loads up for a goiter, but over rotates it on the landing. Roediger with a one-handed aerial and a couple of late hits with the wave closing out. The swell is still continuing to increase with mast or slightly more bombs rolling through. Pritchard with a sick wave with several gouging turns. Ezzy goes for a giant aerial, but can't quite keep it on the landing. Browne will have to wait for the double elimination if he wants to win in Maui. 15:07 Heat 12 is now sailing - Guilloul vs Matt Pritchard vs Seadi vs Faurot 15:05 Noireaux with another solid wave consisting of two top turns and a floaty aerial.Motohashi with a nice late hit, but Brawzinho leaves it a moment took long and goes down on his wave. Ezzy links his first turn straight into a goiter. Brawzinho sees it and responds instantly with a one-handed goiter.  15:00 Ezzy shows a huge amount of determination to claim a frontside wave 360. Browne busts a nice aerial after a couple of setup turns. Motohashi with a nice floating smack on the lip.  14:57 Motohashi opens with a few fluid turns, including a small air. Huge frontside wave 360 from Noireaux after Browne delivers a few decent hacks. Ezzy on a big set wave and he kills it with 5 turns, consistently hitting the lip.  14:52 Noireaux with a late hit. Juban with a good wave including one really late hit right off the lip. Huge opening hack from Siver again as he sends the spray flying. Angulo picks up a mast high set and he makes three solid turns on it. Siver finishes the heat with another gouging turn, before picking up speed and launching into a perfect air taka.  14:40 Siver connects four solid turns and another tweaked aerial. Angulo goes for a massive aerial and stomps it. He landed that hard that he's forced his boom all the way to the bottom of his rig! 14:37 Big gouging turn from Siver. The wind is continuing to build. 14:12 Ezzy going big straight from the off as he attempts a goiter, but can't hold it on the landing. Noireaux opens with a late vertical hit. Browne opens with a reasonably safe opening wave. Goya with several late hits.  14:08 Results Heat 9 - Roediger and Kevin Pritchard advance 14:07 Heat 10 is now sailing - Browne vs Noireaux vs Ezzy vs Goya 14:05 Roediger picks up a mast high bomb and destroys it with a big hit under the lip and then stomping two aerials, before claiming it. Big aerial from KP which he backs up with two more hacks. Swift going for broke as he storms down the line, agonisingly close to stomping it. 14:00 Roediger with a sick goiter off the lip. KP with good speed on the wave and he links several fluid turns and a small air. 13:48 Results Heat 8 - Angulo and Goya advance. Our reigning world champion and current world tour lead Philip Köster is out! 13:47 Heat 9 is now sailing - Kevin Pritchard vs Roediger vs Swift vs Mussolini 13:45 One big hit from Koster, but then the wave closes out on him. Angulo boosts a trademark aerial. Motohashi with a couple of big hacks sending the spray flying. Angulo with a super late hit under the lip, just falling off the back. Koster fighting back with a forward off the lip, will it be enough? Motohashi lines up for a goiter, can't quite land it.Goya with two late hits.  13:40 Koster selects a set wave and makes a nice vertical hit but then goes down on a frontside 360 attempt. Goya goes super vertical with a nice slashy turn. Angulo with a trademark top turn before launching off the lip into an aerial. Motohashi milks a small wave. Goya with a couple of his trademark turns.  13:34 Angulo picks up the first wave of the heat and he links two turns with an aerial to kick us off. Angulo connects a solid second wave with in the first four minutes. Motohashi connects a a few decent turns. Koster takes his opening wave and links one turn with a float, Goya's opening wave is almost identical. 13:27 Heat 8 is now sailing - Angulo vs Goya vs Koster vs Motohashi 13:25 Ezzy opens with a solid top and bottom turn combo, then attempts a goitre, bit it doesn't quite work. Jamaer on a mast high set, links together a couple of turns and then comes so close to a frontside 3. Ezzy on the final wave of the heat and he spins through a super smooth taka. 13:21 Guillemin attempts a taka, doesn't make it. Ezzy with an aerial off the lip.  13:17 Ezzy with a late hit and pulls a frontside wave 360 to transform the wave. Jaaer with a nice aerial and a solid turn to back it up. Ezzt with a solid turn and then a really nice slashy hack. Jamaer on a big wave, he makes two solid turns but then trips out. Traversa misses out on a place in the next round. 13:07 Heat 7 is now sailing - Denel vs Ezzy vs Jamaer vs Guillemin 13:05 Another perfectly executed frontside wave 360 from Siver and Noireaux responds with a goiter. It's going off! Traversa with a few decent turns, but on a smaller wave. Traversa finds a set wave but after a late hit the wave closes out for him.  13:02 Siver with a big first turn and then a floaty aerial. Noireaux boosts a tweaked aerial and then sends buckets of spray flying with an explosive top turn. Noireaux winds up for a goiter, but takes off a little late and doesn't quite make it. Siver with a another great wave combining trademark hacks with an aerial. Noireaux also killing it with more big hacks and a super stylish one-handed aerial. 12:57 Traversa with a sick air taka, on his next wave he goes for a one-handed rail grab but doesn't quite make it. Siver finds a perfect section for a frontside wave 360 and he delivers! Jung gets himself back in contention with a perfectly executed goiter.  12:52 Noireaux makes an aerial. Jung with a couple of late hits, but then goes down. Traversa with a nice tweaked aerial, but then the wave peters out on him. Siver pulls off a radical frontside 3. Noireaux on a big set and he launches into an aerial.  12:48 Results Heat 5 - Browne and Juban advance. Browne with the highest scores of the day so far. 12:47 Heat 6 is now sailing - Jung vs Siver vs Traversa vs Noireaux 12:45 Miller throws a load of spray with two big hits. Juban with a nice frontside into backside before tweaking a little aerial. Browne picks out a big set and he combines two delicious bottom turns into top turns before tweaking an aerial - brilliant heat from Brawzinho. 12:41 Juban goes down hard on his top turn.  12:37 Sick air taka from Browne and he also has two solid turns on that wave too, highest wave of the day so far 8.88 points. Juban boosts a nice aerial. Miller on a big set and he lands a big aerial off the lip. Browne with a good first turn then looks to tweak an aerial but just spins out on the landing. Martin lines up another section and he goes for a one-footed aerial, which he does sail away from.  Kai Katchadourian is up and walking, he took a bit of a beating on the rocks with his knee, but doesn't look like it's anything too serious, thankfully.  12:32 Browne finds a nice section for a big aerial. Juban already has two solid waves within the first 5 minutes. Martin goes down super hard on a one-handed aerial, getting catapulted mid air, he must've clipped into his harness lines again. Ouch! 12:29 Results Heat 4 - Guilloul and Mussolini advance. Mussolini's amazing frontside wave 360 proved to be the difference between second and third, with the legendary Robby Naish taking third.  12:27 Heat 5 is now sailing - Martin vs Juban vs Browne vs Miller 12:25 Perfect frontside wave 360 right in the critical section from Mussolini, will it be enough to get him into the top two?   12:22 Naish with four fluid turns, making the absolute most of that wave. Beaux with a couple of turns and then a super late hit. Mussolini with a headthrow aerial, very stylish. Naish selects a set wave and delivers a couple of big hacks. Guilloul hits the lip on a big set wave getting cheers from the crowds.  12:17 Mussolini with a late hit and a float over the whitewater. Naish links together a solid wave. Mussolini attempts a frontside 360, but doesn't make it. Guilloul with a big vertical hack on a decent sized section. Beaux lines up for a one-handed aerial. Naish boosts a big aerial right between the photographers.  Results Heat 3 - Swift and Matt Pritchard advance. 12:12 Guilloul opens with a backside air and then links one more turn before getting caught up on his next bottom turn almost going into a downwind 360. 12:07 Heat 4 is now sailing - Guilloul vs Naish vs Mussolini vs Beaux 12:05 Swift storms down the line looking for a goiter but doesn't quite make it. Skye finds a nice section and hits the lip. Katchadourian has unfortunately suffered some kind of knee injury on the rocks, we'll update you as we know more, hopefully it's nothing too bad. Skye strikes back in the dying moments with a clean goitre.  12:00 Matt Pritchard goes for a radical frontside wave 360 but he can't quite pull it and now he's really unlucky as his board and sail separate, his board is precariously close to the rocks. Skye attempts a frontside 3.  11:56 Swift selects a chunky wave and he carves into a big top turn into an aerial and one more hit. Pritchard's wave closes out for him. Skye boosts an aerial followed up with one small hack.  11:52 Swift still in the lead with two solid waves, but that can easily change with the other three sailors all in contention.  11:48 Heat 2 saw a heat of death and Fernandez is the one to miss out - Seadi and Roediger advance. 11:47 Heat 3 is now sailing - Skye vs Matt Pritchard vs Swift vs Katchadourian 11:45 Fernandez on a solid set and he makes two turns. Roediger busts a sick goiter. Seadi with three super vertical, aggressive hacks. Roediger having a good heat as he links in a one-handed aerial after a couple of solid turns. Hauser gets closed out on on his wave. Seadi with the highest wave of the contest so far 7.65 points. Seadi winds up for a massive top turn, but over does it a little. Roediger links a few turns but nothing explosive. Seadi rotates through a super nice goiter, but lands just behind the wave. Hauser with a couple of decent turns. Campello picks up another wave and pulls of a nice aerial. Big hack from Pritchard and he backs it up with a stylish one-handed aerial.  11:11 Campello kicks off the single elimination with one hit before attempting a tweaked air. KP opens with a big hack and an aerial off the lip.  11:07 Heat 1 is now sailing - Voget vs Kevin Pritchard vs Campello vs Faurot 11:05 Beaux with the biggest wave of the day so far, almost mast high, and he combines two fluid turns with an aerial to finish off. Hauser on a much smaller wave and after his initial first turn he attempts an aerial.  11:02 Haywood connects three decent turns, probably his best wave so far. Beaux with another good wave selection and he also links three turns including a small aerial. Haywood with a couple of really nice hacks, but then as he goes for an aerial to finish the wave he goes down.  10:58 Hauser with a small aerial.
