Roediger picks up another set wave, nice one-handed aerial, but then he gets closed out on. Siver charges down the line, one big gouging smack, but that's it really after the wave closes out. Roediger responds with two big turns under the lip but he goes down on his next turn hard. He's taking the rest of his set on his head, hopefully his kits ok. It is. Seadi attempts a goiter, but the Brazilian goes down. Roediger with an excellent last wave as he delivers a setup turn before launching into a goiter. 15:21 Sick taka off the lip from Roediger and he adds another snappy top turn afterwards. He gets a big set of cheers on the beach. Seadi responds with a big aerial straight into a classic Kauli turn. 15:16 Nice vertical hit from Seadi into an aerial and two more back up turns.  15:11 Difficult conditions now with a gusty wind which is swinging offshore. Roediger winds up for a goiter, but he falls out the back. Seadi with an aerial right in the critical section! Seadi tacks onto a set wave - stylish bottom, top turn combo and then goes for a radical air taka, but he doesn't quite land it.  15:06 Seadi goes for a big start as he tries a goiter, doesn't quite make it. Roediger with a good opening wave ending with a taka. Seadi picks up a wave infront of green trees, opens with a nice top turn and backs it up with one more smack! Noireaux on the final wave of the heat and he goes for a frontside wave 360. 13:51 Solid wave from Noireaux as he hits the lip with a perfectly timed turn before adding two aerials off the lip on the same wave. Browne with another excellent wave as he throws a sick air taka and backs it up with a couple of hacks. Trademark aerial from Angulo. 13:06 Brawzinho goes for a one-handed taka right from the off, but he doesn't pull it off. Seadi has just suffered a broken mast and sail after going on the rocks and Angulo has also ripped his sail in half. Carnage! 11:45 Conditions are getting better with close to mast high bombs rolling through and the wind increasing.
