Both men and women completed two rounds, bringing victory to Matt (US-10, Tabou/Gaastra) and Kevin Pritchard (US-3, Starboard/MauiSails) and historic wins to Junko Nagoshi (J-11) and Karin Jaggi (Z-14, F2). »
  • <B>Day 3 summary: Victory for Cyril Moussilmani (F-71, Fanatic), Matt Pritchard (US-10, Tabou/ Gaastra), Junko Nagoshi (J-11) and Karin Jaggi (Z-14, F2) on the third Super X day. </B><br> Cyril Moussilmani (F-71, Fanatic) takes his first 2005 Lanzarote Super X victory by winning round # 3 in a high tension final leaving Matt Pritchard (US-10, Tabou/ Gaastra) behind in the very last moment. Pritchard got his revenge though by winning the fourth round. In the ladies fleet, it was another good day for Junko Nagoshi (J-11), who won round # 3 and Karin Jaggi who took the fourth round.<br><br> »
  • <B>Day 4 summary: Dramatic final day brings Matt Pritchard (US-10, Tabou/ Gaastra) and Karin Jaggi (Z-14, F2) the 2005 overall Super X world title.</B><br> On a day filled with action and drama, Matt Pritchard (US-10, Tabou/ Gaastra) takes the overall Super X victory at the Lanzarote Costa Teguise PWA Grand Slam 2005. By doing so, the American also secures his second overall Super X world title. Karin Jaggi wins the women’s Super X title in Lanzarote, meaning she is also the first ever woman Super X world champion.<br><br> »

In the women’s competition Daida Moreno (E-64, Mistral/ North) adds another freestyle win to her ever growing victory list.</B><br> After yesterday’s spectacular Super X finals, the Lanzarote Costa Teguise PWA Grand Slam 2005 continued today with the single freestyle elimination. The Canarian trades were gusting around 15 to 25 knots having most riders opting for their 4.7’s. »

  • <B>Anthony Ruenes (F-85, Tabou/ Gaastra) falls from grace as the second round of freestyle strands halfway through due to lack of consistent wind.</B><br><br> On the second to last day of the Lanzarote Costa Teguise PWA Grand Slam 2005 freestyle contest, the second round single elimination was progressing well into the ladder before the wind became too inconsistent to continue.<br><br> In the heats that were completed, Germany’s Normen Gunzlein (G-186, JP/ Neil Pryde) was responsible for two sensational victories by first knocking out Anthony Ruenes (F-85, Tabou/ Gaastra), the French favourite for the overall title and then terminating Robby Swift (K-89, JP/ Neil Pryde), putting himself in the quarter finals. »

Ricardo Campello (V-111, JP/ Neil Pryde) and Daida Moreno (E-64, Mistral/ North) grab the overall freestyle title for yet another year.</B><br> After a full on day of back to back competing, Douglas Diaz (V-34, Fanatic/ North) and Daida Moreno (E-64, Mistral/ North) win the 2005 Lanzarote freestyle title. With the final freestyle event of the season complete, Ricardo Campello (V-111, JP/ Neil Pryde) and Daida Moreno (E-64, Mistral/ North) take the overall freestyle world title. »
