Josep Pons on Fire Flying High Over Pozo Izquierdo

Josep Pons (I-99 / Point-7) finished 2018 ranked 13th on the Men’s PWA Wave World Tour after 13th, 17th and 9th places respectively in Gran Canaria, Tenerife and Sylt. The 34-year-old is one of the best jumpers in the world with stalled doubles, doubles and pushloop forwards all in his repertoire, which makes him a major threat against anyone on his day.

Pons’ potential to challenge for the overall top 10 caught the eye of both I-99 and Point-7 and for 2019 he will sail under their flags after parting ways with Simmer Style.

Although he may have only recently changed equipment, it looks as though he is already completely comfortable on his new gear from the looks of his latest video, which is a quick fire, action packed 60 second clip of Pons soaring over Pozo Izquierdo.
