Cold Hawaii Youth Windsurf Wave & Slalom World Cup

Day six of the 2025 Cold Hawaii Youth Windsurf Wave & Slalom World Cup kicked off with solid southwesterly winds, easily qualifying as strong wind conditions. With both fin and foil competing here the first discipline on the course was Foil Slalom.

Two full rounds of high-wind Foil Slalom were completed by the entire fleet, delivering intense battles for positions all across the board. As the second round wrapped up, the wind picked up even more – and the Thisted shoreline truly showed its teeth.

With the increasing breeze, it was time for Fin Slalom, and it came in with a bang. Riders were pushing hard – the course was challenging, with plenty of chop to navigate, so it was all about finding the balance between going full throttle and avoiding major wipeouts. Some nailed it, others… not so much. After retrieving a couple of sailors with damaged equipment, racing was called off for the day – but not before two full rounds of Fin Slalom were completed. A seriously successful day on the water!

Day 7 – Friday is just around the corner, and guess what? The forecast is calling for plenty of wind again! We’re looking at an early start with the skippers’ meeting set for 09:00 at the Cable Park – lots of slalom racing on the agenda. It’s going to be epic!
