Young Brazilian Slalom Talent Gabriel Browne Pens Deal With Maui Sails...

17-year old Gabriel Browne (Mistral / MauiSails) from Brazil has signed up with Maui Sails and will be focusing on PWA slalom 42 events and some specific Formula events.

Gabriel started windsurfing when he was 4 years old with his brother Marcilio ‘Brawzinho’, and made his PWA debut in Fuerteventura in 2006.

Gabriel comes from a long line of Champion Windsurfers including his father who is a former Brazilian champion, his Uncle and now his Brother who’s the PWA Freestyle World Champion.

Barry Spanier has recently spent some time with Gabriel in Maui and had good things to say about his new colleague.

'We’ve been looking for a young racer for some time and Gabriel fits the role.

He’s shown some promising results over the past 2 years and we look forward to supporting him as he grows into a premier racer'.

Gabriel is currently on Maui training and was understandably excited about being picked up by a big brand

'Joining the Maui Sails team is a dream for me and now I have great opportunity to learn more about windsurfing from some of the best people in the sport.

I’m looking forward to some serious training on Maui over the next few months and then heading off to compete on the PWA World Tour Slalom 42 events.

I now have all the support I need and together with my effort I’m looking forward to an exciting year'.
